State of Humanity

Care to hear the author recite this piece of lyricism?

Pollute you like some trash in the desert sand
Leave you wonderin' what it feel like to be a man
A mystic a leper a lord until you realize you just a human being
playing dozens with dogs and
Get ya head bitten off like a preteen bully
Taughtin' motherfuckers in the prison yards

My conscience clear like Peruvian diamonds
In ice water streams

Genocide in the palm of my hand
I'm livin' the American dream
Israelis digging graves with the dirt under my nails
While Nigerian girls jump the gaps between
My knuckles as I hold the peace sign and ball up my fist
To crush the Boko Haram like the drops on Gaza Strip

Me myself and I as a conglomerate
Providing arms in the war on civilian terrorism
Make the kids swallow bombs with a smile and call it heroism
The aftermath is lying in a bed snakes
As they let me admire their hiss
And spat acid in my face and the only side effects
Was it hurt when I took a piss
Irrelevant adolescent thoughts of hide n seek
And hatin on what was unique
But no remorse to bubble in this pool
Of nostalgia

Even face down the water seems bleak

seems like there's no hope for this world as in ages past... loved the passion in the verbal version... so glad there's Someone greater to put it all back together again... one day

This is really a stark reminder of what a dark world we live in, when the path of hate and violence is such a smooth ride for the young ones..

One thing i truly think..when one becomes one..with all the natural potential of the mind...body...and soul that does include DMT..there comes a great need to help others..other than ourself in anyway we can...

After all the synthetic version..MOLLY IS ACTUALLY EVEN SCIENTIFICALLY CLASSIFIED as an EMPATHY HELPING DRUG!

THE LOVE YOU WILL..

AND WHEN SACRED UNCONDITIONAL LOVE COMES.

WORDS LIKE YOURS here of passion for the good of the tribe..

Shines through...
in passionate words true!2!..:)!

A wonderful illustration of your prompt, man; hallucinogenic yet a brave rant, a thrust of clarity, a penlight piercing the abyss, a bullet blasting through the bullshit, brother; loved the last stanza; fucking snakes, even
in dreams, freak me out.

Anthony~I am overcome by the combination of your voice spelling out words of darkness that is our world. You know your a talented writer when it effects your readers to the point of forgetting to breathe. This is brilliantly sad. WOWSA Anthony!!

Bodhirose said...

Intense. Your write reminded me that our reality has become a bad dream that we're finding really hard to awaken from. That hurts...

If only we could keep a "conscience clear like Peruvian diamonds in ice water streams"...a refreshing image in a dark and violent world.

Cool idea for poetics, Anthony!

Intense writing here, always, Anthony. Your piece reflects truth about where we are at now as a human race. If that be the case, it would seem that humanity is in one wild DMT high or low.

Anthony--I don't always listen to the audios but I'm so, so glad I listened to you read this. You really drive it home and you are a master of performance poetry. This needs to be heard and heard loud. I may have to slow down and take time to LISTEN more often.

Anthony, I hope you never lose your passion. It sparks your words, spoken and read, like an eternal flame. So powerful what you say here. I think the world's troubles are ultimately internal ones. That may explain the angst I feel lately. I want to be part of the solution and I want to be happy too. Can I do both?

Powerful write Anthony, right on the go! Trouble and violence afflicting the youngsters may be difficult to comprehend but they are starkly visible. Great!

Hey Anthony, sorry to b so late--you capture so much of the acid going on, and the feeling one has that symbolic gestures are just ---well, symbolic--very intense imagery knit with very cool sound. Thanks--k.
