Condemned

In hell you are me looking in
Watching the consumption of
Those in the Devil's den
Eyes without tears
Minds with no fear
Combust in searing fleshtone
A mockery of the blessed
Merit within woes of
The unholy prototype
Bind the life in love and hate
The bodies of those engulfed
By Hell's Gates

And are we like Dante visiting the Inferno with Virgil or are we those who reside on the shores of the Acheron neither in or out but not forced to abandon hope? I explicated but don't know what landed me in a limbo of despair.

Yet I like the power of the words and edge of wit that runs through the piece. Well done. Anthony

Very powerful.

A density and heaviness to this one, rolling out Fate, choices, inevitability. Evil replicates the formula of Good in reverse. Liked it.

That blog header hits hard and so does the poem.

And I like it that way...

Very vivid images. The words are also very strong, each word conjures an image (engulfed, seered, etc) make this poem really come alive and burn the reader

Love the line "The unholy prototype" - one of my favorite poems from you, the brevity works here.

This is thick with emotion, some heavy stuff but good.
