Coat the air as black shadow dancing
Rafts a pond of lucid dreams
Swinging knives in an unconscious state
Excerpts from war bombs & hand grenades
- Took the bait
Cheers & shouts of deathless mutilation
Captured by ransom & introspection
Rulers from out of country
No kings no queens nor dauphins
Inured soldiers sweating bullets
Trapped like tar clothed dolphins
Coveted freedom wanted so badly
It glows lambent
Native tongue neighboring the eccentric
Heroes have become disfigured
Lepers begging to be mentored
Grotesque reality just as common
As extraordinary
Dead as black shadow dancing

I've read this several times but have yet to comment because there is so much to it. Agree with everyone else, a hammer to the glass of reality and I loved every line.
