Quiet Writhe

Innocence pours
Against the distant pores of mother nature
Realization of mommy and daddy being distant lovers
Unnoticed like a fly on the wall
Obvious like a new born's first palm print in the sands of time
As life goes on,
The glossy eyes are dry
Yells and screams died down & the rooms are quiet
Hugs & kisses fill the air
Like all those noisy nights were silent
Scars removed,
Toys are nice & bright
Mommy's wounds are deep
But at least she knows she raised him right

Through a child's eyes
He's invincible
But doesn't know what love is
Especially on those days when he felt invisible
Though time heals most
He'll never forget
Sometimes it's hard to remember when you're heaven sent
