dedicated to my mom
Going through a world of pain
Didn't stop you from
Giving me a world of love
I wish I could place the world
In your hands so everyone
Could see what I see
Like a passport with all the stamps
To show the miles your heart

What a gorgeous poem for your mom. I love it !
anthony...heres what i love man...you rock the hip hop beat, you take us places we dont want to go...and then you sing to our hearts in this man...lovely...
wow anthony...this is very different from your usual style...but...just love it!!
Very different than what I've seen, but wonderful verse none the less!
so beautiful, your love for her shines through.
my fav lines, "Like a passport with all the stamps
To show the miles your heart". Hope she liked it.
The second stanza is the most beautiful love poem to a mother. She sounds like a very special lady :)
Short - but sooooo AWESOME.... the beauty is in how much love is squeezed into such a small package. Beautiful!
Beautiful tribute to your mom! Reminded me of mine. Peace, Linda
A sweet and lovely poem.
The passport is an astounding simile. Wonderful dedication.
Gorgeous piece. Thanks so much for posting. <3
V. nice bro - a gear change for sure - but you cruise nice as well as rev hard; props
I knew this was for your mom. Quite the Valentine, sweet Anthony. Did I get one from my sons? No, but from the grandchildren. Not as sweet as this. Tell her hi! from me. Loved it. G.
Great piece, I like the reference to the passport
Beautiful! You made us see what you see.
Anthony, what a beautiful, heartfelt tribute to your mother. Our mothers give us so much more than the gift of life... they give us dreams, stories, and treasures of the heart. Glad this came on Valentine's Day! Amy

"I wish I could place the world
In your hands so everyone
Could see what I see" ...my favorite
I really love this. Beautiful write for your mom.
That lily is one of the most beautiful I know--upward facing, luminous purply pink and so fragrant it's like the air of another world--what a lovely comparison to your mother that, and indeed the whole poem is.
Awesome poem, Anthony. A beautiful sentiment, very well expressed!

Kewl write and yes mums do that :)
Beautiful- so simple- almost understated- but says everything that needs to be said. I love how poetry doesn't have to be stanza after stanza to pack a real powerful punch- an emotional punch- and this did just that.
Gorgeous! So simple and pure. A beautiful brush stroke rendered by a fine artist on a small canvas. This one touched deep in my soul.
