A divinity that is affection
Searching for perfection in man
Child-bearing hips
Ass like a full moon
So thirsty
Sippin' cyanide
Poisoned by
The beauty of the beholder
That lies in the belly
Sorta like survival of the fittest
Fattest thighs, fitted jeans
Barely tapering to the waist
Taken in at the seams
Like inhaling and taking a
Long, slender finger
To the back of the throat
Bypassing glory

dang...finger to the back of the throat bypassing glory...beauty is...a dangerous buisness and at the end of the day you have to wonder if its worth it...
great to see you writing again...
Brian's right. I've missed you and that voice, AD.
With this, back and better than ever.
sippin' cyanide...that's so funny..I had a modern day poison apple tale I debated on posting..your descriptors are fantastic, Anthony...fierce and strong...I always leaved pumped up and inspired to try to match that power...always awesome to read your work...been far too long!
oh dang..we just talked about anorexia and bulimie with my girls this evening...it's sad how much weight we put on looks..
Some women look better with some of that weight in the right place ;) Curvy and proud. Thought provoking write hun, nice to see you writing again!
so many ways a person can destroy themselves
Bypassing glory... great write, I always love your punch in the gut style, wielding the power of words to drive your point home.
Such a sad truth about the world we live in.
"sippin' cyanide" -- awesome line, tight flow
.finger to the back of the throat bypassing glory...very cool write!
"Bypassing glory"... what a great way to end it. It's too bad, sad, how many people substitute temporary highs for permanent lows.
It's nice to read your work again, Anthony.
Powerful writing about a tragic subject.
Wow, this is a punch in the gut write. A great write but hits where it hurts.
Maybe they should put it on the school reading list, it might just do some good.
I sensed a keen appreciation for the curvy. This is a pov that needs to be enhanced and amplified!

Wow. This is an amazing poem. The ending made me swallow very very hard. Fantastic flow.
This is horrific and terrific at the same time. Really powerful x
sipping cyanide, bypassing glory strong point
How we view weight is a real problem... you addressed it beautifully.
A true cocktail of sweet mayhem,
gurgling the cyanide and swilling on
the fittest
Fattest thighs
Child-bearing hips
Ass like a full moon
a bubblebutt for a boot (trunk) huh?
sounds like my kinda ride! . . .
wicked and vivid similes fizz
and animate the page
bubble butt kicked aliscious!!! :)
Slender in words that swept across my eyes, wicked scribe
Raw, scary, beautiful!
In my opinion, the starvation look is sad. It is too bad that so many look in the mirror and see flaws. Bypassing glory... Powerful write, Anthony
those child bearing hips -> nature says this is the one to procreate with, and advertising says take the skinny ironing board girl!!! what a conflict!!
Women...would be happier if they were taught more effectively to value the mind more than the body, tough in this world of mass sexualized media.
excellent poetry, these are arguments
important that affect the reader.
Incredible lines of verse man. So many in one poem. A tight write.
Excellent and amazing poetry sir.
