Baroque

Like a knife in sheep's clothing
My pain found pleasure in my sorrow
I crave the taste of revenge
As blood drips
From the tip of that knife
I thought the warm steel
Had been submerged
In thy enemy's flesh and slightly
Chipped away at bone
I licked off my successes
And tasted my own ignorance
Like a fool,
In heat

Holy cow, that makes one think!! Knives, blood, enemies. And a lesson to be pondered.
