Augur

I felt a type of way
The kind of feeling when death
Is about to strike
A jolt like brother & sister
An urge like a painter's
A pain like a poet's
The ache of a mother
Facing her childhood
And children alike

  21. Facing her childhood and child alike...there is an entire societal study waiting to be written on those words alone. Anthony, this is loaded with layers and avenues to chase...your intent, perhaps obvious to some, has me reeling. I looking back, I'm looking forward, I'm seeing my child coming up in this world compared to the world I knew at her age...and honestly...I'm left scared to death...that's a mighty potent little word weave there, Poet!
