Oh, this is wonderful, really packed full of imagery. The erosion of reality gets us all, doesn't it? Good thing we have poetry to hold us together. smiles
I enjoyed that the elements of reality and illusion are both present and suspended. The sentience and in-animation elements play well against each other. Very nice. Thanks.
My, i love thsi so much. The metaphor of flesh being a stone...eroded by reality....just stunning! And so cutting and real and vivid. I completely relate to that emotion. I couldn't have expresses it better. It's sad that life hurts us so much that we are forced to turn into ourselves and hide for fear of being completely sawed to dust. Like Ralph Waldo aid, "society is fatal."

Ah, a fly on the wall can definitely witness many things. An obscure observer of so many things that go on. Out of sight & all seeing.
I like the flesh like stone, camouflaged in blue smoke quartz ~ Good one Anthony ~
I wrote a poem about my mother, long passed, called FLESH & STONE. Really liked what you did with the poem, each line has great insight & strength.
Very cool!
Personification with color - great image and better text. The blues go deep here!
"Hardened by the erosion of reality" and yet the passion of the piece renders it totally forgivable. Great use of color in this~
cool interpretation of the picture... nice solid piece

Wow, powerful images here! The idea of skin being like stone because of eroding realities really resonates with me, Anthony.
Color stone.. and the fly on the wall.. eroding stone.. what a marvelous image...
Very clever use of words, love the fly on the wall.
Gorgeous photo and words. Love the predominance of color in this, Tony.
Just gorgeous.
Life is fragile, reality hard and your poem is cool as blue smoke quartz!

Wow you really nailed it! Powerful words.
granite - hard timeless unmovable - a nice contrast for the dragonfly.
and the eyes... bulging like that... like some form of gemstone. very cool.
this is beautiful.........
Ah, what a beast reality can be, eroding all that is lovely in us! Wonderful reinterpretation of a beautiful photo!
Striking words for a striking image.
Beautiful visuals Anthony - great work with camouflage. I have some shots like this myself.
A hidden dragon... very nice.
How beautiful is that? Delicate yet strongly balanced and solid.
Great poem and photo! I enjoyed the powerful imagery, especially the camouflage in 'blue stone quartz'.
Lovely - and the picture is stunning.
Really enjoyed this one..the second line packs a punch. I like how you weaved in the blue lines.
You've packed a lot of imagery into this micro poem. Love "erosion of reality."

Oh, yes. reality erodes, and we do see it all...
Your first two lines are terrific (as the rest are). They grabbed my attention quickly.
