I wanted more. Ha.

Not sure how I want to take this. I am not a big crown person, because it speaks to rank and position.

on the other hand, if she's got poetry inside, glad she is letting it out - even if one blood drop at a time.

The title is the key to this, for me.

That describes my Muse as well... She brought me here.

that sounds real - that's how it should be

Did you post the open-night link prematurely -- I see it has been withdrawn.

Short and powerful. A crown of poetry is such a intriguing idea - unseen by the eye and yet so beautiful. Thanks for sharing

Yep! It'll be up at the regular time today like usual.

Ah, got it. Thanks, I thought I was missing something !

BTW, were is the image from? I like it.
I am not a big believer in an "inner being" or a "true self" any more that idealized forms of outer beings, but, I do enjoy your image.

Thanks. The link to the woman in the picture is included, but she's removed the original without my poetry over it.

Desmond, that was confusing.
Did you borrow the picture from https://instagram.com/kweenkreyol/
Then you put your poetry on it?

Powerful piece of brevity! My first reaction was I love it, but who is the bitch? Then the guise of Muse settled in & I realized that you're turning into a real poet & shit, & I really dig that. I had my OLN piece done last week, all confused, so thanks for letting me post yet another episode of BLACKTHORNE.

Well I know about your muse now but what happened to you? Smiles...>KB

Brief but so full of meaning and intent. I got all wordy this time but I do like the brief poems better. You have most excellently written 500 words of meaning in these few. When I think of crowns, I think of the wonderful Sunday hats I see many of the women wearing to church. And I think of being crowned with light - the soul part at the top of our head where our soul enters and departs...so much in this poem! Poems coming from her crown, her soul, bleeding out - the true essence of her being. Marvelous!

Does she crown herself with poetry or do you crown her? Interesting, deep, mysterious queen.

I so want this to describe me. Beautiful. Peace, Linda

I like this because it hints at the pain associated with poetry, or the idea that poetry "seeps" into us... even if we don't want it to.

Well, I would say that if this is the case she writes good poetry!

I'm sensing your friend pored her out and soul
into writing a good poem and a masterpiece.

I'm love your way of writing my friend.

:)

p.s I wrote and posted a trippy poem Yesterday.

Love the title and short powerful lines with bleeding from her being ~

Very intense portrayal of reality and the truth of agony....I wanted to read more.

great one

I take this to mean the crown of her head, not a literal crown (or even a figurative one). In other words, I think her brain is made of poetry and it oozes out of her crown ... and probably everything else. The image is perfect. She HAS to be naked for you to get the full effect.

Ha ha ha. I just realized that your title is "light period," and then your poem talks about bleeding. LOL. So maybe this only looks deep, but it's really a menstruation poem. ;)

A lot said with very few words. The best poetry comes from within, when we're most vulnerable.

Absolutely splendid stuff!!

The crown of her head, I thought, not a royal crown at all - it's like when you see the baby being born and you can see the crown of its head first... or am I completely wrong?

Simple, succinct and sublime.

A diadem of words that opens her to light... Beautiful!

Striking image...and very deep message. My interpretation is that we bleed poetry. It is the release of all that we are and have experienced.
